A large and complex organization, eHealth is comprised of 30+ clinical and non-clinical program (service) areas that all work together to support health care providers and teams across the province in delivering the best possible care to patients, providers, citizens, and health system users.

Programs range from primary care to acute care, and includes laboratories, pharmaceuticals and diagnostics.

Additional programs that also support patient care and information, include Virtual Care, the MySaskHealthRecord, and the Provincial Electronic Health Record.

eHealth is also responsible for the administration of various pieces of legislation to manage the registration of/changes to all vital event records (e.g. birth, marriage, death, etc.), registration of legal name changes, registration of adoptions, and for maintaining the provincial health registry for health services eligibility and distribution of health services cards.


We are seeking an individual who is results and detail oriented with exception people, customer service, and communication skills to join our Provider Service team.


About the Role


The Specialty Access Program Analyst will liaise with eHS internal staff, management, external healthcare providers and staff to acquire an understanding of all issues, troubleshoot and/or educate on appropriate processes and procedures to address all issues.

When necessary work with the Manager, Provider Services and IT analysts to develop, test, and implement technical/process changes.

Provide guidance to the development team on the specific business requirements requested in the solution and will be able to grasp the implications of technical details very rapidly and understand their inter -relationships and the impact on the environment into which the solution will be deployed.

The Specialty Access Program Analyst will also be able to discuss those impacts with the project stakeholders to quickly resolve any conflicts between the proposed solution and the enterprise architecture.


The Specialty Access Program Analyst will conduct data extraction, analyze and populate existing monthly, quarterly and annual statistical reports that are supplied to the specialty department leads/heads, the Ministry of Health, and eHS senior leadership.

Working with the IT App Support build SQL queries on an adhoc basis or to enhance existing reporting packages.

The reports are utilized as part of the decision-making processes at all levels of management internal to eHS, Specialty dept.

and/or Saskatchewan Health Authority on further growth opportunities of the programs.


You will have knowledge of:


  • Strong strategic information analysis and project management and planning techniques;
  • Strong understanding of data analytics methodologies and tools used to present data in an informative way;
  • Business process improvement methodologies, tools, and processes coupled with an understanding of organizational change management methodologies;
  • Strong group facilitation skills;
  • Requirements gathering and documentation process
  • Knowledge of the health system, clinical care, and clinical referral processes, and;
  • Have a minimum of 35 years of working in a community physician clinic.

You will have the ability to:
