Description

The position is a full time 9-week contract under Canada Summer Jobs and is based at the JFS Ottawa office, outdoor sites in Ottawa, and some remote working.

Qualifications for Canada Summer Jobs
- be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment**; and,
- have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Filing and Organization: Maintain and organize physical and digital archives, ensuring accurate and systematic filing for easy retrieval of documents.
  • Reception Duties: Greet visitors, answer incoming calls, and provide general administrative support as needed.
  • Privacy Compliance: Handle sensitive information with utmost confidentiality and adhere to privacy policies and regulations.

Qualifications:


  • Respect for Privacy: Demonstrate a high level of discretion and respect when handling confidential information.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time efficiently, and maintain a wellstructured filing system.
  • Language Skills: Proficiency in additional languages is advantageous and may be beneficial in communication with a diverse clientele.
  • Interest in Counseling, Psychology, or

Social Work:

A passion for or interest in these fields is considered an asset and may provide a deeper understanding of the organization's objectives.
