As part of our
Genetic Sciences Group (GS) you'll join a team of Inside Sales representatives to grow our Digital PCR (dPCR), qPCR/Real-time PCR and Sanger Sequencing businesses within your territory.

By coordinating and aligning with colleagues from multiple divisions, we enable our customers to resolve issues, provide them with the best tools to answer their questions, and help Thermo Fisher achieve its mission to make the world a cleaner, healthier, safer place


Location Specific Information:

This is an on-site role based at our Burlington office with expected US travel every quarter.


A Day in the Life:

Consistently and accurately leads sales process, including sales forecasting, pipeline management, and sales tracking. Coordinates resources and engages critical customers to achieve annual sales targets.

Expands visibility of our dPCR, qPCR, and Sanger Sequencing solutions to our customers: Capitalizes on local marketing innovations to expand programs within the designated territory. Builds and nurtures customer relationships through extensive cold-calling and prospecting. Understand our customers' goals, priorities, and challenges so that Applied Biosystem's solutions are best positioned to address their needs.

Collaborate effectively across a matrix environment and leverage Thermo Fisher's breadth to serve customers and gain market share. Provides internal partners with business planning and development consulting to ensure effective strategies

Consistent Tool & Resource Utilization: Uses the tools, processes and operational resources to improve and advance direct and indirect sales. Collaboratively monitors and influences partner sales pipeline. Champions innovations that improve partner pipeline management.


Keys to Success:


Education:


  • Bachelor's Degree Required. Concentration in Biology, Molecular Biology or Biochemistry strongly preferred. Advanced Degrees are a plus, but not a requirement we have a mix of educational backgrounds on our team

Experience:


  • Handson laboratory experience, and/or customer facing experience is an asset as is a solid understanding of qPCR, Digital PCR or Sanger sequencing technologies

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:


  • Ability to travel to the US as needed for required meetings and customer visits is a requirement. This may include a variable work schedule to accommodate customer availability
  • Knowledge of other Genetic platforms is valued.
  • Goaloriented mentality and proven ability to meet and surpass goals and objectives.
  • Demonstrate a high degree of flexibility in adapting to a rapidly changing business environment.
  • Possess excellent organization skills and an individual sense of accountability, effective time management, selfregulation, and selfmotivation.
  • Ability to operate in competitive environments and the interpersonal skills to work with people with diverse abilities, personalities, and responsibilities is critical to success.
