- Supervise the operational performance of machinery and equipment in the manufacturing plant and establish preventive maintenance programs.
- Collaborate with the Planning Manager and Facilities Manager to oversee project execution, ensuring projects are completed safely and on time.
- Plan the work schedules of maintenance staff based on projected workloads and priority areas and enforce adherence to the company's safety and security standards, procedures, and policies.
- Coordinate the use of subcontractors when necessary, verifying the quality of their work and documenting required certifications.
- Perform scheduled safety inspections on all facility systems.
- Take part in scheduled inventory checks, including cycle counts and comprehensive inventory accounting.
- Perform additional duties as needed.
- Certified Industrial Electrician/Millwright required.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a maintenance position within a manufacturing facility is necessary.
- 2 years of experience in a leadership role, overseeing staff or subcontractors in facility or equipment repair projects.
- Previous exposure to working with government inspectors, particularly in the realms of equipment, facility, safety, and air quality assessments.
- Completion of relevant Health and Safety training courses.
- Possession of First Aid and CPR certifications, or a willingness to acquire them.
- Proficiency in computer skills, including the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal.
