Job Description

You will work across permit packages, construction documentation, and standards compliance. Draft and revise technical drawings for city submissions and coordination sets, adhering to building codes, zoning bylaws, and Longpre standards.

• Draft and revise technical drawings for city submissions and coordination sets
• Apply redlines from senior staff with accuracy, speed, and zero ego
• Assist with permit packages, submission tracking, and documentation assembly
• Conduct field measurements and support site analysis under guidance
• Maintain clean, well-organized files and follow firm standards for naming, layers, and drawing structure
• Help update checklists, technical logs, and quality control documents throughout the project lifecycle
• Support construction administration : assist with meeting notes, site reports, and follow-up documentation

Requirements

We are looking for someone with:

• 1–3 years of relevant industry experience in architectural drafting, design, or permit documentation
• Diploma in Architectural Technology or equivalent hands-on training and experience
• Proficiency in architectural drafting software; Vectorworks is a strong asset
• Solid understanding of drawing conventions, construction documentation, and plan set structure
• Familiarity with the BC Building Code (BCBC 2024) and Vancouver bylaws (VBBL 2019), or a clear willingness to learn
• Receptive to direct feedback, open to correction, and willing to do the work required to improve

Growth Opportunities
