OPERATIONS AND PROGRAM MANAGER

This position is a hybrid model -work from a home office and at the work place on varying days, as requested by Senior Management and may require travel to in-person speaking engagements, meetings, and events.

Operations and Program Manager
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Operations Management
- Develop and implement operational strategies and policies to optimize efficiency and effectiveness across the organization.
- Oversee daytoday operations, assist with budgeting, preliminary financial accounting functions, liasing with external accountant and auditors, resource allocation, and procurement.
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, as well as internal policies and procedures.
- Identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to enhance operational performance and productivity.
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with external vendors, contractors, and stakeholders.
- Support OneChild's Founder in coordinating administrative tasks.
- Program and Project Management
- Lead the planning, development, and execution of programs, project, campaigns and events in alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
- Coordinate program activities, including scheduling, logistics to ensure timely and successful completion.
- Monitor program progress and evaluate outcomes to measure effectiveness and make datadriven decisions.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure program objectives are met and stakeholders' needs are addressed.
- Develop and maintain program documentation, including project plans, reports, and performance metrics and draft and submit reports to donors.
- Assist with communicating with school boards, schools, youth facilities and other community groups to secure speaking engagements
- Team Leadership and Collaboration
- Recruit, train and manage staff, volunteers, and interns.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork, professional growth, and employee engagement.
- Coordinate and facilitate regular team meetings, trainings, and workshops to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to ensure effective communication and coordination across different departments.
- Communications and Outreach
- Support the development and implementation of communication strategies to promote the organization's mission and programs.
- Maintain regular communication with program participants, volunteers, and partner organizations.
- Assist in writing and editing program materials, newsletters, and reports.
- Contribute to social media management and website updates to enhance the organization's online presence
- Fundraising
- Support in prospect research.
- Collaboration and Partnerships
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders, including community organizations, government agencies, and funders.
- Collaborate with partners to identify opportunities for program expansion, funding, and joint initiatives.
- Represent the organization at meetings, events, and conferences, advocating for its mission and programs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., nonprofit management, social sciences, business administration) or equivalent experience.
- 57 years of experience in program coordination, operations management, or a related role within the nonprofit sector.
- 13 years of supervisory experience.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fastpaced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with diverse audiences.
- Proficiency in project management tools, office software, and online collaboration platforms.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a collaborative and solutionoriented mindset.
- Knowledge of nonprofit regulations, grant management, and fundraising principles is preferred.
- Passion for the organization's mission and a commitment to social impact.
Mandatory Certifications
- Criminal Record Check, including Vulnerable Sector Check
- Valid Driver's License and access to a vehicle (preferred)
Working Conditions
- Early mornings, evenings and/or weekends may be required
- Domestic and international travel may be required
Contract length: 12 months
Salary:
Up to $60,000 per year + MERC's
