RAM's Electrical and Controls Technician is responsible for install and repair of electrical systems, calibrate equipment, inspect designs for quality control, and troubleshoot wiring issues.
Other duties include drawing diagrams of the system, observing site conditions that affect the design, and reporting your findings to the engineering team.
Your plans revolve around the circuitry of the electrical system. This often requires you to make rough sketches or prototypes before the final installation.Responsibilities
Design Electrical and Control Systems
- Develop electrical designs for components across all product lines.
- Generate production drawings to facilitate manufacturing.
- Responsible for specifying, designing, and building programs to be installed on equipment.
- Develop and install machine programs using automation software and custom code.
- Calibrate systems requiring basic electronic test equipment
- Preparation of electrical technical drawings using Electra and/or AutoCad
- Institute industry best practices to standardize product design where possible.
- Troubleshoot system errors.
Quality Assurance
- Administer quality assurance program for all electrical components.
- Ensure products comply with all regulatory requirements.
- Planning ideas to improve product quality.
- Test planning and analysis.
Qualifications
- Electrical Engineering Technology Diploma or equivalent required
- Detailed knowledge of PLC automation software and coding languages.
- PLC technical certification (ideally in ladder logic programming).
- At least 3 years' experience as a PLC programmer.
- Proficient with embedded system design.
- Proficiency in ECAD and AutoCAD software.
- Knowledge of Solidworks software is an asset
- Ability to work with mínimal supervision.
- Must have Customer service experience
- Ability to communicate clearly in written and spoken English is required
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills

$50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
