Bechtel has been appointed as the Delivery Partner, supporting our customer Metrolinx as part of an integrated team, to help deliver the signature Ontario Line Subway (OLS) Project, a transformational transit project for the Greater Toronto Area.

The multi-billion dollar project scope includes the design, build, operations, and maintenance of all infrastructure and rail systems associated with 15 stations and over 15km of new alignment, being performed by three key Public/Private Partnership (P3) Contractors and multiple advanced/early works contractors.


Position Overview
We are seeking a diligent and organized member to join our team.

The Track Access Manager will play a crucial role by ensuring that the Ontario Line contractors achieve access to the railway corridor.

Bookings need to be planned well in advance with the construction teams and tracked closely to ensure smooth delivery of construction activities.

Information management and proficiency in spreadsheets and MS Excel is essential for success in this position. The Manager will also be expected to host planning meetings with the various contractor teams.


Responsibilities

  • Primary focus on shortterm planning (8weeks and less)
  • Attend and represent project team on all shortterm meetings T1, T3, T
  • Overview/whiteboard of Contractor's Access Submissions
  • Create and maintain flagging booking and utilization trackers
  • Communicate and log contractor cancellations
  • Root cause Contractor flagging utilization and "No Show" events
  • Create and maintain Contractor cost trackers
  • Verify and sign Flagging time cards
  • Verify Flagging invoices
  • Create and maintain Major Closure summary packs
  • Review daily NOC (Network Operations Center) report and escalate project related issues

Job Knowledge

  • Understanding of railway flagging operations and track protection types.
  • Familiarity with railway network access planning processes and protocols.
  • Familiarity with Metrolinx' geographic network and locations

Qualifications and Skills

Basic Qualification

  • Proven experience in a coordinating role, preferably in the railway or related industry.
  • Strong proficiency in spreadsheet management, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Proficiency in effective system/process building.
  • Excellent organizational and timemanagement skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team and independently when required.
  • CROR and Metrolinx GEI qualification is a plus.
  • Effective communication and problemsolving skills.
