Program Manager 1
THE ROLE:
THE PERSON:
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Participating in the development of project plans and schedules; must be able to develop and improve processes for project tracking and risk mitigation
Supporting Engineering management in planning of project Human and Computing resource needs
Supporting Engineering management to drive execution excellence, including key metrics like Time-to-Market, R&D Efficiency, and Silicon Quality Indicators
Working collaboratively with the AMD Program Management community to track Key Metrics and help continuous process improvement
Defining and managing key budget and Head Count deliverables/schedules and driving cross functional activities
Managing horizontally across several functional organizations, including Finance and Human Resources
Working hand-in-hand with engineering counterparts across the global sites to plan/align budget, head count, operational efficiencies
Drives completion of all required deliverables, with a focus on customer quality feedback and established deadlines
Collect, analyze, organize and publish work performance data via dashboards and recurring status reports
Strong self-motivator, with a sense of urgency when needed and leadership skills
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
Semiconductor industry Project Management experience (Silicon Chip/ASIC ) or a background in design or verification within the semiconductor industry
Agile Project Management and familiarity with industry standard tools including Jira
Good presentation and leadership skills; with ability to lead technical discussions
Strong interpersonal skills
Outstanding written and oral communication skills
Experience in managing complex, interrelated projects, programs, and functions
Team player with a commitment to meeting deadlines and an aptitude to thrive in a fast-paced multi-tasking environment
Flexible working schedule to interact with global program execution team (Asia, India, and North America emphasis)
PMP certification is a bonus
Agile development or certification is a bonus
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
Master's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or Electrical Engineering is desired
