We're currently seeking a contracts manager with extensive expertise in prime contracts and risk management. The specific sectors of expertise we're seeking include prime contracts, contract negotiations, subcontractor contract flow downs, risk management, invoicing and claim management. You'll be using your leadership skills every day, whether it's to develop trusting relationships with our partners in the region, train the next generation or manage a passionate team. This role will give you the opportunity to take the lead, while also being in the thick of the action by working closely with talented people.

    • Oversee a portfolio of engineering prime contracts and master service agreements through full contracts lifecycle management.
    • Supervising and mitigating change management and risk management to assure adequate protection of the company and client.
    • Delivering contract management requirements during project performance such as: contract summaries, invoicing, risk assessments, and claim management.
    • Create, review, and negotiate a range of contracts, service agreements, change orders procurement contracts, subcontractor contracts, and joint venture agreements.
    • Identify and evaluate potential risks related to contracts, proposing effective risk mitigation strategies.
    • Collaborate with legal and project teams to address contractual issues and disputes promptly.
    • Progress reporting - Identifying problems and trends, reporting status, and performing corrective action in a timely, accurate and professional manner.
    • Implementing standardized Contract Management programs and procedures.
    • Reports to Department Manager of Project Execution.

    Overview of certifications and job requirements

    • University degree - Engineering Degree an Asset
    • Minimum 10 years of experience in Contracts Management, and/or project controls (or combined)
    • In-depth knowledge of contracts, regulations, and industry standards for the mining sector.
    • Have worked on all phases of a contract's life cycle (an asset)
    • Advanced MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Projects an asset)
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills
    • Practical knowledge of project control software
    • ASSET: Practical knowledge of Primavera P6
    • ASSET: Bilingual (English/French)
    • ASSET: Practical knowledge of the modules in the Prism G2 Suite
    • ASSET: Practical knowledge of project risk management

    • Annual base salary between $ 102,000 - $ 150,000
