Teladoc Health's summer internship program allows students to gain hands-on experience by applying their academic curriculum to real-world situations. We are looking for a skilled, motivated, and innovative people to join our 2024 EMERGE Summer Internship Program. Interns will receive valuable training and mentoring to support their professional growth, develop marketable skills, and learn about Teladoc Health's business and the healthcare industry. This is a paid opportunity, in which interns will be assigned projects and tasks relevant to Teladoc Health's current business needs.

    Position Summary

    The intern will work closely with the Sales Team and will play a pivotal role in the sales process, specifically lead generation. The role will drive new sales opportunities for the sales team through in-bound lead follow up and out-bound outreach efforts to secure qualified leads for introduction calls/meetings for field sales. The intern will be responsible to conduct research on specific customer profiles and creating very distinct leads lists for the sales teams.

    Role and Responsibilities

    • Perform prospect and account research to prepare for calls; using social media tools to monitor targeted accounts and identify trigger events for follow up
    • Interpret data from marketing automation platform to personalize outbound communications
    • Perform targeted cold calls, emails, and other sales activities to schedule discoveries/demos
    • Follow up on pre-determined groups of prospects for further nurturing using phone, email and social channels
    • Consult with customers to understand the needs and goals to best align them with the appropriate solution, resources, or internal teams for follow-up
    • Provide excellent customer service at all times, and reach out multiple times to each lead to drive connection
    • Track and manage prospecting, qualification and nurture activities in the company's sales force automation platform
    • Provide input to improve/refine lead generation process
    • Leverage sales technology tools to perform outbounding activities, including: ZoomInfo, Salesforce, Sales Navigator
    • Other duties as required

    Skill Requirements/Preferences

    • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate/graduate program and returning to school in September 2024
    • Currently residing in Canada
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to prioritize and manage their time efficiently
    • Enjoys conducting research and creating data bases
    • Tenacity to work both within a team and independently
    • Exercise high degree of professionalism and communication with confidential information
    • Remarkable and responsive customer-service focus, with strong verbal and written communication to both Hiring Managers and Candidates
    • Demonstrate a keen sense of urgency and bias for action in the coordination process
    • A welcoming, inclusive personality and customer-service mindset
    • Excellent project management skills and attention to detail
