    The Associate Account Executive (GRS) builds and maintains relationships with clients and advisors/brokers with the concurrent goals of retention and new business growth. In support of new business goals, the role develops relationships and quote activity supporting the group wealth distribution channels of brokers, managing general agents, Co-operators advisors, credit unions

    How you will create impact:

  • Develop and strengthen relationships with Co-operators advisors and third-party distributors (brokers/Managing General Agents (MGAs))
  • Maintain strong relationships with plan sponsors.
  • Collaborate and plan with Group Benefit counterparts for joint third-party distributor development and new business opportunities.
  • Help new distributers to the group wealth market understand the benefits and requirements of selling group retirement and savings plans.
  • Responsible for the creation of ongoing customized reporting
  • Contribute to proposal generation and Request For Proposal (RFP) response creation.
  • Support the team in the development of presentations.
  • Support client onboarding and transition activities.

  • To join our team:

  • 3 years of experience in financial services (ideally in group retirement sales and/or service)
  • Completion of post-secondary education in business administration, marketing or equivalent education
  • Enrolment in or desire to complete industry courses such as CFP, CEBS or RPA
  • Life license or willingness to obtain post hire
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong presentation, communication and teamwork skills
  • What you need to know:

  • You are required to have your own vehicle, valid driver's license and insurance.
  • You will travel occasionally.
  • This role involves direct contact with clients and/or service providers in their environment.
  • Extended work hours, including evenings and weekends may be required.
  • You will be subject to a Background check as a condition of employment, in the event you are the successful candidate.

  • Expected Salary Range: $51,750 -- $86,250
    *The salary amount for the successful candidate is determined by Co-operators in its discretion and will vary depending on several criteria including but not limited to: local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualification, experience and education.
