Responsibilities of the CAD & LiDAR technician include:_

Process LiDAR point clouds from mobile, aerial and stationary scanning
Extract survey linework and ground points from LiDAR point clouds to prepare survey base plans
Preparing survey base plans from GPS and total station field data
Preparing survey layout data from design & IFC drawings from clients
Creating 3D DTM surfaces from conventional or LiDAR survey data
Checking project control data and adjusting surveys for accuracy
Communicating with field staff to discuss survey data and ask questions.
Assist in field with LiDAR data collection (i.e. mobile LiDAR setup, spotting for drone, etc.)

Requirements include:_

Completion of a postsecondary program in Civil Engineering Technology or a similar stream
5+ years of experience with survey data. This includes data processing, adjustments and drawing preparations
Excellent knowledge of AutoCAD software (Civil 3D), including experience with Microstation and Carlson
Past experience with LiDAR & photogrammetry processing software (i.e. Scene, Cyclone, Scanlook, POSPac, Agisoft, Pix4D, etc.)
Strong attention to details
Excellent written and oral and communication skills
Able to take direction and learn quickly.
Personal vehicle or other means of travel to get to and from office (public transit not available)

Salary:
$22.00-$30.00 per hour
