Position Summary:


Are you a client centric individual who has a passion for financial planning? This is a fantastic opportunity to join Advisory Services, a fast-growing team within the firm, responsible for providing exceptional service to our high-net worth clients.


This is an intermediate, financial planning support position focused on providing exemplary holistic wealth management, including, but not limited to financial planning, insurance planning, investment planning and management, philanthropy, and tax and estate planning.


As a member of our high-performing Wealth Planning Associates (WPA) team, you will have the opportunity to partner with our best-in-class Wealth Advisors and work in collaboration to learn from the ground up.

Starting as a Wealth Planning Associate, many progress to Senior Wealth Planning Associates and then to Wealth Advisors.

Our WPA Career Development Program focuses on personal and professional growth to maximize potential and success in career paths such as career Associates, people leadership and Wealth Advisors.

This role will be a hybrid work environment, located in Toronto.


As a Wealth Planning Associate, your main responsibilities will involve:

  • Supporting Advisors to provide first-class financial planning and strategic wealth management services to our clients based in Quebec and Ontario.
  • Managing client reviews, scheduling meetings and preparing client meeting materials.
  • Preparing investment portfolio reviews.
  • Performing insurance needs analysis.
  • Managing daytoday client requests and partnering with various internal Nicola Wealth teams to execute, as applicable.
  • Delivering a high level of endtoend personalized client service with rapid resolution of queries.
  • Continuously engaging in ongoing learning and development to improve skills and knowledge.

As a Wealth Planning Associate, your key attributes will include:

  • Ability to work in a dynamic and fast paced, deadline driven environment
  • Ability to focus on complex tasks for long periods of time with competing priorities and deadlines
  • Ability to maintain professionalism and collaboration under pressure
  • Ability to be resourceful and a selfstarter

As a Wealth Planning Associate your skills and qualifications will include:

  • You are bilingual (French/English) with proficiency in understanding and communicating technical business terms in both languages.
  • You are licensed in Quebec (IQPF designation) and able to demonstrate technical proficiency in investment, financial planning, and insurance planning services to support our clients based in the province.
  • You have a minimum of three years' related work experience in a client facing role at a wealth management firm.
  • You are comfortable working with numbers with an analytical mindset.
  • You have exceptional interpersonal and relationship management skills to build trust with clients and colleagues.
  • You have the ability to work as part of the wider team, as well as individually.
  • You have the confidence to adapt to change.
