VRS Communities Society is currently recruiting for a permanent, full-timeFinancial Administrator. VRS is a not-for-profit housing and care organization for disabled and senior living individuals. Location is in Vancouver, South Granville area.
Reporting to the Financial Controller and Director of Financial Services & Data Management, this position will be responsible for the daily processing and reconciliation of account balances including cash, accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare full cycle accounting accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger
- Prepare biweekly payroll process
- Prepare monthly bank reconciliations and other accounts reconciliations
- Complete month end closing procedures in AR, AP, and GL
- Provide government reporting and remittances such as GST, PST, WCB etc.
- Prepare AR, AP, GL and other accounts reports/analysis as required
- Maintain organized electronic filing system
- Other duties as required
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Detailorientated and accurate data entry skills.
- Expert level MS Excel skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines
- Ability to work in a team
- Undergraduate or above in Accounting/Finance
- Minimum 35 years of recent related experience in fullcycle accounting
- Strong analytical thinking and problemsolving skills
- Strong experience and knowledge in Excel and ERP system
- Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills
- Proven prioritization, strong time management, and organizational skills
- Ability to exercise good judgement, show initiative, be proactive and accountable
- Strong attention to detail, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Selfmotivated and adaptable to a dynamic work environment
- Ability to work in a fast paced, and deadline driven environment
- Must be able to obtain a cleared Criminal Records Check
Job Types:

Salary:
$51,000.00-$56,000.00 per year
