Position Description
We are currently searching for a professional, detail oriented and safety focused individual for our Health and Safety Administrator role in our Sudbury location.
Position Responsibilities
- Ensure that the computerized HSE information systems are accurate and updated regularly.
- File, photocopy and complete general HSE administration as required.
- Schedule training for new employees
- Tracking/Controlling documents
- Updating training matrix
- Assist in the preparation and coordination of HSE Orientation sessions.
- Communicate within your own department to ensure that all relevant information is forwarded to the appropriate personnel on a regular and timely basis. Provide regular updates to manager regarding progress on required duties and the status of any outstanding actions.
- Participate in and report on management systems audits, inspections, investigations, and meetings as required.
- Build and maintain a thorough knowledge of health and safety legislation.
- Compile and generate statistical information for HSE Manager as requested.
Knowledge, Skills and Competencies
- Computer experience in Word, Excel, and Power Point.
- Experience in training and analysis.
- Strong sense of respect for confidentiality
- A mature selfstarter with the ability to work with minimum supervision
- Ability to multitask and prioritize multiple deadlines
- Ability to work in a fastpaced environment and able to adapt to change
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills
- Valid G Drivers License
