- Shift: 4on-4off 12hr days once trained, 8hr days, M-F with some weekend required while training
- Unload materials such as dry bulk products and larger industrial materials
- Perform quantity and quality checks of materials
- Operate low and high capacity forklifts
- Operate a shunt truck
- Assist with general yard clean up and maintenance.
- Perform manual labour tasks and support operations.
- Work in adherence to all safe work practices, procedures, as well as all regulatory requirements
- Suggest changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of yard, shop, department, or work crew
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor/manager
- A strong work ethic and a positive attitude
- A strong safety mindset
- Ability to prioritize a daily workload in a fast paced and dynamic environment
- Ability to demonstrate leadership in a team based environment
- Willingness to learn new tasks and become highly efficient in all areas of our operation
- Previous Lead Hand experience is an asset
- Previous experience on forklifts is an asset
- Previous experience on a shunt truck is an asset
- Previous warehouse experience is an asset
- Ability to climb ladders and lift 50lbs
- Highly flexible with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment
