Role Summary

Reporting to the Director of Resort Services, this dynamic leader has proven excellence in housekeeping service delivery and will effectively lead the Property Services division that facilitates and maintains Lake Simcoe Stays and FH Fresh.

This role is responsible for achieving successful in-suite cleaning of residential and FH fresh units and maintaining strong relationships with homeowners, guests, and the local community.


Responsibilities:


  • Lead and manage a dedicated team of housekeeping and property services colleagues.
  • Provide training, coaching, and ongoing development of colleagues.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment to ensure high colleague morale and productivity.
  • Oversee the cleaning operations for FH Fresh and the Lake Simcoe Stays program.
  • Develop and implement efficient cleaning procedures to meet and exceed guest expectations.
  • Coordinate and schedule cleaning services for the Lake Simcoe Stays program, ensuring timely turnover between guests.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of all residential and rental properties.
  • Implement and maintain quality control measures to uphold the resort's standards of excellence.
  • Address and resolve any guest concerns or complaints related to property services.
  • Manage and monitor inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment.
  • Assist in the development and management of the housekeeping department budget.
  • Monitor expenses, identify costsaving opportunities, and report on budget variances.
  • Work closely with the Welcome Center, Maintenance, and other relevant departments to ensure seamless communication and cooperation.
  • Compliance with all safety regulations of assigned tasks and ensure a clean and safe working environment with active participation in the health and safety program.
  • Adhere to all environmental policies and programs as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:


  • Diploma or degree in hospitality, travel and tourism or related field an asset.
  • Valid Ontario driver's license
  • Minimum 5 years' previous experience in a similar role within the hospitality or resort industry.
  • Previous leadership experience in hotel operations or Housekeeping.
  • Must possess excellent customer service skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Detailoriented and works with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Ability to multitask in a fastpaced environment
  • Must be extremely responsible with integrity and the ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion.
Working Conditions

  • Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays.
  • Required to move, lift, carry, pull and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance.
  • Stand, sit or walk for an extended period or for an entire shift.
  • Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting and pulling.
  • Move over sloping, uneven or slippery surfaces.
  • Significant exposure to varying weather conditions
  • Will encounter obnoxious smell from wastewater, gasoline and diesel fuels.
  • Will encounter hazardous materials, dangerous or toxic substances and chemicals.
  • May encounter excessive noise from engines and equipment.
  • The work area is located alongside deep water.
