Manager of Learning and Development, Organizational Effectiveness
Full-Time, Contract (12 months)

London, Ontario**:

As Manager of Learning & Development, you will be responsible for influencing the performance of our Team and ultimately, the quality of supports we provide to individuals experiencing mental health and addictions concerns in our community.

You'll help ensure employees maintain the knowledge, skills, and abilities to improve their performance and build confidence in their roles.

This will include developing, implementing, and leading plans for staff training and development, supervision, coaching and mentoring, in collaboration with the Director of Organizational Effectiveness and the larger leadership team.

RE OFFERING:

What you'll be making - $ $40.83 per hour

When you'll work:

  • 70 hours over twoweek period, Monday-Friday 8:30am 4:30pm.

HOW YOU WILL BE MAKING A DIFFERENCE:

_Workplace Learning:
_


  • Evaluates program, departmental, and organizational needs for the purpose of developing effective workplace learning activities and events
  • Provides input into the development of a Professional Development strategy for the entire organization, ensuring employees are provided with the training necessary to perform their jobs effectively
  • Ensures that identified trainings are scheduled appropriately throughout the year, including elearning modules, mandatory trainings, and specialized trainings
  • Connects with inhouse trainers on an annual basis to review training requirements, responsibilities, etc. of trainers
  • Designs and delivers elearning courses, inperson workshops and other trainings to support employees in their work
  • Sources effective, relevant, and costeffective courses as determined through needs analysis
  • Manages elearning platforms utilized by the organization by uploading / updating training materials, etc.
  • Works collaboratively with Director of Organizational Effectiveness to ensure annual training budget is maintained
  • Helps to build a learning organization culture where employees feel empowered to learn

_Department Evaluation and Development:
_


  • Provides expertise, resources, and guidance in enhancing employee orientations and onboarding
  • Uses data to evaluate program effectiveness and recommend changes
  • Works collaboratively with leaders and the Director of Organizational Effectiveness to develop effective learning strategies specific to individualized programs and adjusts the Professional Development strategy, as necessary
  • Provides ongoing professional practice support (i.e. observation, case consultations, ethical dilemmas, observations, etc.)
  • Identifies and implements best practice models for new populations that are underserved based on data collection, in collaboration with program leaders as required
  • Seeks out and maintains knowledge of current best practices; sharing information with leaders and assisting to adjust the resources and training needed for employees based on new information
  • Assists leaders in understanding accreditation standards and acts as a resource for leaders to meet or exceed these standards

_Supervision:
_


  • Works collaboratively with the Director of Organizational Effectiveness and with leaders to develop, revise, and implement the Clinical Supervision Matrix and other supervision models for nonclinical employees
  • Works collaboratively with Director of Organizational Effectiveness to develop a performance management and development process that encourages employee contribution and includes goal setting, feedback, and performance development planning
  • Observes staff and completes file audits as needed to work with leaders on performance related improvements

_We require the following qualifications:
_


  • Postsecondary degree in Social Work, Counselling, or a related area of study
  • Current registration with a regulated professional College/governing body (i.e. Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers or College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario)
  • Demonstrated ability to attend work regularly
