    This position is within the Renewable Energies market sector of the Energy Group. This market sector specializes in solar, wind and battery storage projects. We work in collaboration with public and private sector customers on innovative projects, enabling our team members to prove their expertise and train the next generation of passionate professionals.

    To meet these growth challenges, WSP is currently seeking a structural engineer to join our Structural Renewable Energies team, preferably located in one of our Quebec offices.

    What you can expect to do here:
    • You will be responsible for the structural engineering side of renewable energy projects, more specifically wind, solar, battery storage and electrical substation projects.
    • You will be responsible for and collaborate in the preparation of calculations, reports, plans and quotations for:
      • Wind turbine foundation design;
      • Solar farms supports and foundations design;
      • Battery storage project foundation design;
      • Electrical substation design.
    • You will provide construction support services, in the office and on-site, for renewable energy projects (+/-10% of role).
    • You will ensure design compliance with relevant engineering standards and codes, as well as internal QA/QC procedures.
    • You will use finite element modeling software.
    What you will bring to WSP:
    • Bachelor's degree in civil/structural engineering;
    • A desire to participate in projects that have a positive impact on the environment;
    • 3 to 10 years' experience in consulting engineering and structural design;
    • Be a self-motivated leader with a sense of initiative and attention to detail;
    • Willingness to work collaboratively with an enthusiastic and experienced team;
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
    • Good command of French and English;
    • Experience on a construction site (considered an asset);
    • Experience in the design of reinforced concrete, piles or electrical substations (considered an asset).
