Greater Vancouver Community Services Society is currently looking for a Community Living Worker with the right combination of passion, skills, and dedication to support our group home residents with developmental disabilities.


Schedule:
Friday & Saturday: 4:00 pm - 12:00 am, Sunday - Tuesday: 1:00 pm - 9:00 pm; 40 hours per week

Location:
Killarney, Vancouver, BC (exact location will be provided to successful applicants only)

Wage:
$26.30 per hour (starting wage on BCGEU wage grid) + comprehensive benefits package


Services:

  • Comprehensive personal care
  • Community involvement such as going bowling, attending music therapy, and shopping
  • Assistance with activities of daily living
  • 24/7 monitoring to ensure client health and safety

Requirements:


  • Postsecondary certificate in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • Current "Emergency Community Care" First aid and Cardiopulmonary (CPR) certification
  • Valid Class 4 BC Driver's License
  • Able to understand and communicate in English verbally and in writing
  • Ability to work independently but within a team environment, and work under pressure while still maintaining time restrictions
  • Ability in conflict resolution and personnel interaction
