Is this role right for you?

  • You will help develop and drive Client Strategy and support it through the collection of business requirements for support teams to build operational processes which extract, transform, and map structured and unstructured data into schemas for the purpose of consistent reporting and analytics.
  • Lead project management activities for strategic business initiatives from Front Office (Corporate and Investment Banking, Capital Markets) and technology (Salesforce, Data Engineering etc.)
  • Support projects, providing detailed business and data analysis, program specifications and business requirements for development of solutions for the sourcing, delivery, and processing of internal/external data sources within the technical architecture to support client profitability and analytics for wholesale customers.
  • Collaborates with business partners and technology teams to deliver complex, creative and robust data solutions. This includes development of powerful reporting/analysis against big data required to ensure accessibility for analytics and reporting by the data teams, as well as providing oversight of reporting solutions using Tableau, Power BI, and/or other industry standard BI tools.
  • Expected to function independently by combining business knowledge and technical expertise to recommend, develop and implement data, reporting and analytics solutions.
  • Be a champion of change in Global Banking and Markets, for helping to evolve the data and analytics driven culture.
  • Drives the implementation of new processes, improving existing methodologies and utilizes cuttingedge technology to expedite delivery of new/enhanced products to our customers.
  • Comfortable working in a sales and trading environment to enhance the value we deliver to our customers.
  • Ensure all activities conducted are compliant with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures, while championing a customer focused culture that deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge. They understand how the Bank's risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in daytoday activities and decisions. They also actively pursue effective and efficient operations of their respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank's Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of daytoday business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational compliance of AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We'd love to work with you if you have:

  • Bachelor / Master's degree in a Finance/data science/analytics discipline.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in data and analytics field, or sales background in Corporate Investment Banking, Global Capital Markets.
  • Excellent leadership skills in driving senior leaders to consensus and managing complex teams.
  • Selfstarting, resultsoriented, and highly motivated individual with the ability to work in a fastpaced, agile environment.
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce and BI tools like Tableau and PowerBI would be a strong asset.
