Position Summary
We are currently seeking a Seasonal IT Support Technician to join our IT Department in supporting our Corporate Office, Warehouse, and Retail Store systems. This is a seasonal position from April to August and is for an existing vacancy.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated IT professional who enjoys hands-on technical work and delivering exceptional customer service in a fast-paced, multi-location environment.
As our Seasonal IT Support Technician, you will provide front-line technical support across hardware, software, network, and communication systems. This role involves a combination of remote troubleshooting and on-site support at various company locations throughout Ontario.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide help desk support for desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and phone systems (remote and on-site)
- Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows and Apple devices
- Support Microsoft 365 administration and user management
- Deploy and support custom and licensed software applications
- Maintain system documentation and IT asset records
- Assist with hardware setup, rollouts, and new system deployments
- Manage software licensing and procurement processes
- Support audio/visual equipment for meetings and corporate events
- Assist with procurement and billing of IT equipment across departments
- Provide rotating after-hours and weekend on-call support
Technical Qualifications
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access)
- Hands-on experience with Windows operating systems and Apple products
- Experience performing PC and Mac hardware repairs and upgrades
- Experience troubleshooting antivirus software
- Experience supporting Android and other mobile devices
- Experience using help desk ticketing systems and remote support tools
- Basic networking knowledge
- Strong ability to troubleshoot effectively over the phone
Education & Experience
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a technical service or IT support role
- Degree, diploma, or relevant industry certifications (A+, Network+, MCP, ITIL, etc.) preferred
Additional Requirements
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- Must reside within reasonable driving distance of our Corporate Office in the Burlington area
- Reliable vehicle in good working condition (travel required to locations across Ontario)
- Flexibility to work varied hours as required
