Responsibilities

• Receive and review customer orders
• Verify order accuracy and completeness
• Input orders into the shipping system or database
• Prepare shipping documents, such as packing lists and bills of lading
• Ensure that all required documentation complies with shipping regulations and customer requirements
• Communicate with suppliers to confirm product availability and shipping details
• Coordinate transportation with carriers and freight forwarders
• Negotiate shipping rates and terms with carriers to optimize costs
• Plan and organize shipments based on order priorities and delivery deadlines
• Select the most costeffective and efficient shipping methods
• Provide necessary information for customs clearance
• Inspect outgoing shipments to ensure accuracy and quality
• Implement quality control procedures to minimize errors in the shipping process
• Utilize shipping and logistics software to track shipments, manage inventory, and generate reports
• Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in shipping technology
• Support warehouse operations as needed

Skills & Requirements

• Prior experience with Forklift (preferred)
• Regularly required to stand; walk, and stand for extended periods of time
• Good hand/eye coordination
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Able to push/pull up to 35 pounds
• Strong communication skills, both verbal & written
• Comfortable with MS office, internet solutions, and computerized systems
• Quick learner, adaptable and reliable
• Availability to work 8hour shifts during the day, Monday to Friday
