    Your Role

    We're looking for experienced project managers who are looking for the right opportunity to leverage their reputation working on complex projects in the healthcare, institutional and social infrastructure sector into a successful leadership role with the British Columbia business unit. Over the years, Colliers Project Leaders has delivered many hospital, long-term care and community health projects as well as medical equipment planning and advisory services for the healthcare sector across Canada.

    Responsibilities

  • Consult directly with clients and stakeholders to successfully complete several acute-care, long-term care and community healthcare projects, varying in size, scope and complexity
  • Understand and represent your clients' best interests regarding project outcomes.
  • Manage change, communicate, and coordinate between multiple stakeholders, resolve issues, and deliver projects on time and on budget
  • Secure additional major capital healthcare projects in Western Canada
  • Assist clients with defining project requirements, key milestones and success criteria,
  • Plan and coordinate project management activities including procurement, risk, cost, schedule, scope, record management
  • Ensure appropriate resources are assigned to projects
  • Provide financial framework, forecasts and cost tracking and regular financial reporting;
  • Formulate and manage project plans by defining deliverables, identifying and procuring necessary resources, identifying key milestones and reviewing project progress
  • Prepare project progress reports on project status, project schedules, project expenditures and impending actions
  • Manage client relationships and be attentive to new or changing requirements
  • Leverage your network to assist with the identification of new project opportunities.
  • Qualifications

  • A university degree or college diploma in engineering, architecture, construction management or quantity surveying (or an equivalent combination of academic and practical experience)
  • Professional industry credentials such as PMP, ., CET, Registered Architect or other similar industry recognized designation is considered a strong asset
  • 6 to 8 years of experience in project management and client-facing roles
  • Strong knowledge of various construction methodologies, project management models and financial management, as well as building codes, contract law and relevant legislation
  • Specialization in pursuing, securing and leading major healthcare projects
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills with a proven ability to effectively influence others and resolve client, project and technical issues
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Highly proficient in MS Project, MS Word and MS Excel
