    Great opportunity for a seasoned finance executive to take over the reigns of a very successful and growth oriented group of Manitoba companies. The position reports to the CEO and is a key member of the executive team.

    Key responsibilities include:
    • Provide support and financial analysis to executive on future business opportunities.
    • Responsible for the oversight of monthly financial results for the Group consisting of 20 operating companies under its management.
    • Lead the annual budget process.
    • Prepare presentations and lead annual shareholder meetings.
    • Provide executive with complex financial analysis as required.
    • Monitoring of cash position.
    • Bank reporting and preparation of annual review presentations.
    • Lead, mentor and coach the senior finance team staff.
    • Work with external accountants on year-end financial statements and tax planning.
    • Prepare and update forecasts of projected results based on changing market conditions.
    What the successful candidate will bring:
    • Professional accounting designation with 10+ years of senior finance leadership experience.
    • Agriculture experience highly desired.
    • Having experience in acquisitions and valuations would be an asset.
    • Previous experience and comfort in presenting financial information at boardroom level to shareholders and executives.
    • The ability to prepare and present complex and meaningful financial information to various stakeholders.
    • The ability to work effectively with banks and make presentations as required.
    • Experience and success in leading a group of companies through a period of growth and expansion.
    • Proven ability to coach, lead and develop staff.
    • Excellent communication skills and ability to convey issues to senior executive.
