Reporting to the President, you will be responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating all accounting operational functions for Terra Contracting.

This includes managing the accumulation and consolidation of all financial data necessary for an accurate accounting of business results. This is a critical role that will lead evaluation, planning, development, and implementation of new financial processes. This is an in-office role.

We are looking for a strategic, self directed, and detail oriented individual who possesses strong leadership qualities.

  • Strong analytical, problem solving and decisionmaking skills to evaluate alternatives and provide recommendations on business issues

What you will do:


  • Plan, direct, and coordinate all accounting operational functions
  • Plan, develop, and implement business monitoring performance metrics with an analytical approach
  • Manage the accumulation and consolidation of all necessary financial data for the accurate accounting of business operational results
  • Oversee, coordinate and prepare both internal and external financial statements
  • Oversee, and coordinate the activities of external auditors
  • Provide monthly reports to senior management with information vital to the decisionmaking process
  • Oversee, coordinate, and prepare regulatory reporting which may frequently include tax planning and compliance
  • Design, plan, implement, and manage the operational budget process
  • Assess, evaluate, and review current accounting operations leading to recommendations for improvement and the implementation of new processes
  • Assess, evaluate, and review the organization's accounting and internal control systems
  • Evaluate and review the effectiveness of the current accounting software and supporting database. Design, plan, and implement changes as necessary

You Possess:


  • Bachelor's Degree with a CPA, or equivalent, accounting designation
  • 5 years of experience in full cycle accounting
  • Industry experience preferred
  • Proficiency in Excel modelling and analytical skills
  • Experience with Sage 50
  • Excellent organization skills
  • Ability to follow through on tasks and duties
  • Strong time management capabilities
  • Ability to prioritize and manage a high volume workload
  • Selfsufficiency, reliability, and ability to lead a team
  • Strong communication skills with ability to collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Salary:
$70,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
