Looking for a Hardworking and Reliable Acupuncturist to Join a Multidisciplinary Health & Wellness Clinic in the Annex Toronto

The Spruce Wellness Clinic is a multidisciplinary health & wellness clinic located in Toronto in the heart of the Annex (Bathurst & Bloor).

We offer high quality boutique-style one-on-one healthcare services, including Physiotherapy, Massage Therapy, Chiropractic, and more

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a part-time Registered Acupuncturist/Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner to join our team preferably 2 weekday and 1 weekend shift on the below availability:10-6 pm on Tuesday & Thurs

10-7 pm on Wednesdays & Fridays

10-3 pm on Saturday/ Sundays.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
If The Spruce Wellness Clinic sounds like a fit for you, please continue reading to learn about the qualifications and responsibilities involved in the role:

  • Currently registered and in good standing with the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists of Ontario (CTCMPAO) and insured to practice.
  • Minimum 12 years of experience in a private practice setting in Toronto is preferred, but not mandatory. We welcome New Grads to apply
  • Fluent in writing, reading, and speaking English.
  • Literate in computers and electronic booking and charting softwares, ie. Jane.
  • Demonstrates a good understanding of independent practice, including assessment & treatment, treatment planning, customer service, and patientretention. You will be the boss of your own practice. You are the expert in your discipline.
  • Able to work independently with mínimal inperson supervision, but also gets along with others. This is important for contributing to an overall positive and vibrant workplace atmosphere.
  • Experience in interdisciplinary care and crossreferring is preferred, but not mandatory.
  • Values continuous learning in their disciplines, demonstrated through reading primary articles & reference books, attending postgraduate training, receiving mentorships, teaching others, etc.
  • Excellent work performance and attendance record.
  • Hardworking, reliable, strong communication & interpersonal skills, resourceful, and selfmotivated.
  • Open to participating in marketing strategies for the Spruce, ie. Tik Tok/Instagram videos, free consultations for patients, etc., but not required.
  • Experience with extended health insurance direct billing, and WSIB & MVA paperwork is preferred, but not required.
  • Proof of full COVID vaccination preferred.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assess, diagnose, and treat the patient's physical and nonphysical problem/condition using a range of manual techniques within the Chiropractic Scope of Practice, rostered activities, and your personal set of skills.
  • Educate patients about selfmanagement on how to prevent and/or improve conditions, such as using heat/ice, therapeutic exercise, selfmassage tools, etc.
  • Complete mandatory documentation in a timely manner as required by the College, including collection of consent information, charting, WSIB and MVArelated forms, etc.
  • Maintain a steady workflow, including arriving at work at least 15 mins before your first patient, greeting and bringing the patient into the treatment room, treating the patient as per schedule, and communicating with reception regarding patient late arrivals, cancellations, and noshows.
