QM's four business lines include Demolition and Decommissioning, Hazardous Materials Abatement, Environmental Remediation including Civil Earthworks, and Emergency Management & Environmental Response Services.

We have an exciting IMMEDIATE opportunity for an Excavator operator.

Location:
Toronto, ON.

***: As an Excavator Operator with QM Environmental you will be operating excavators on a specific sites in a safe manner. Projects include demolition and reclamation sites, including the removal of contaminated soils, construction of landfills, and building demolition.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Follow all QMLP safety procedures and policies.
Ensure safety and security of cargo
Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, etc.
Report any required or preventative maintenance to supervisor/shop foreman
Comply with applicable legislation including safe operation, carriage of goods, driver's hours, occupational health and safety
Drive excavator in a safe and effective manner in order to minimize the risk of injury, property damage or loss of life
Clean excavators as scheduled and/or required
Participate in routine maintenance
Ability to read and write to keep daily records

QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience:

Valid Class 5 Drivers license
Clean Drivers Abstract
Minimum of 2 years of excavator experience

Abilities:

Able to work long hours, overtime and possible weekend work in various weather conditions.
Be fit for work every day

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Work is on the project site. Appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) will be required for all site work.

Please note that this includes QM's Covid-19 in the Workplace Vaccination Policy, which requires employees to comply with QM's Infection Control Plan (ICP).

QM's ICP requires employees to be vaccinated if they will be working onsite at a jobsite that has a mandatory vaccination policy.
