Overview:


The Engagement Processing function is a vital part of the firm's Business Enablement Services and is focused on achieving client service excellence by delivering timely, high-quality products, and encouraging an environment that increases both the staff and client experience.


The Supervisor, Engagement Processing, is responsible for oversight, direction, and support of the delivery of the business processes performed in the Engagement Processing Team (EP Team).

The individual will be expected to be a hands-on Supervisor as well as leading their team of Processors and Proofreaders.

This position reports to the Manager - Business Enablement Services.


What you will do:

Quality Assurance and Operational Effectiveness

  • Oversee the quality of work being produced by Engagement Processing staff and provide guidance as necessary
  • Implement mechanisms to measure quality and client satisfaction through standard operating procedures, ongoing client engagement, etc.
  • Regularly collaborate and communicate with other EP Supervisor and Continuous Improvement team to ensure consistency and identification of issues, and ensure workflow systems and templates are updated
  • Develop and ensure effective implementation and monitoring of Engagement Processing policies and processes
  • Ensure the effective use of technology in the delivery of services
  • Plan and monitor resource utilization to manage work volume and staffing schedules (overtime, vacation, etc.)
  • Act as tier two support for the EP Team to address service delivery issues arising from the engagement teams
  • Drive collaboration across the EP Team and ensure they are operating as one entity and not individually
  • Support a proactive approach to work
  • Implement, as well as identify, recommendations for the optimization and efficient operations of the EP Team

People Management

  • Facilitate the performance development cycle for EP employees. This includes annual goal setting, interim and year end reviews, yearend calibration, and ongoing performance feedback
  • Address constructive feedback from Engagement teams with EP team and come up with an action plan to rectify
  • Celebrate positive feedback with EP Team
  • Motivate and support EP team to capitalize on their strengths and improve development areas
  • Identify training and development needs of EP Team and work collaboratively with the Manager, BES Partner, and KPMG Business School to escalate and address training needs
  • Plan regular EP Team meetings to share information and allow team members to share best practices
  • Onboard new team members to ensure successful integration and deep understanding of relevant KPMG polices, processes and technologies

What you bring to this role:

  • College diploma or an equivalent combination of education/experience
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in an administrative function
  • Exceptional conflict resolution/problemsolving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Advanced skills with MS Office Products, in particular, Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
  • Ability to work independently and manage a large team
  • Knowledge of financial statements an asset
