Plant Manager

Responsibilities / Duties

  • Manage and oversee the production process, ensuring efficiency, quality, and adherence to production schedules.
  • Lead, train, and motivate plant staff, including supervisors, operators, and maintenance personnel, to ensure a cohesive and productive team environment.
  • Allocate resources effectively, including manpower, machinery, and materials, to optimize production output while minimizing costs.
  • Assist with implementing and maintaining quality control measures to ensure that aluminum windows meet industry standards and customer specifications.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies to provide a safe working environment for all employees.
  • Oversee inventory levels of raw materials, components, and finished products, and implement inventory control measures to minimize waste and stockouts.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and costsaving initiatives, and implement measures to enhance efficiency and productivity.
  • Manage relationships with suppliers and vendors, negotiate contracts, and resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Take part in helping manage the plant budget, monitor expenses, and identify areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvement.
  • Maintain open and effective communication channels with senior management, and plant employees to ensure alignment of goals and objectives.
  • Address any production issues or challenges that arise promptly, troubleshoot root causes, and implement corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.

Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, or a related field is required.
  • 10+ Years of experience in manufacturing operations management, preferably in the window and doors industry, with experience in production supervision, process improvement, and team leadership.
  • Proficiency in production planning and scheduling, inventory management, quality control methodologies, and lean manufacturing principles. Knowledge of aluminum fabrication processes and window manufacturing techniques.
  • Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to effectively lead and motivate a diverse team of employees.
  • Excellent analytical and problemsolving abilities, with the capacity to identify issues, analyze root causes, and implement effective solutions to improve plant operations and efficiency.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively communicate with employees at all levels of the organization, as well as external stakeholders such as suppliers and customers.
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations, environmental compliance requirements, and other relevant industry standards and regulations governing manufacturing operations.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with crossfunctional teams, including engineering, sales, procurement, to achieve common goals and objectives.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to thrive in a fastpaced manufacturing environment with changing priorities and demands.
