Responsibilities:


  • Assuming responsibility for the safety and security of all registered guests during your shift, be prepared to take immediate and positive action within the guidelines provided in the event of an emergency alarm or situation of any nature.
  • Managing guest relations both on the property and after departure in regard to their comments and/or complaints with an expectation that all interactions benefit the hotel and retain guest loyalty.
  • Fostering a spirit of teamwork to ensure that the Guest Services department provides excellent service to both guests and employees alike.
  • Onboarding and continued supervision of all new and existing front desk staff, scheduling of breaks and providing relief accordingly.
  • Daily ownership of the hotel cash float while ensuring that all frontline employees practice responsible cash handling.
  • All typical tasks are also required of a Guest Services Agent, including checkin and checkout, and guestroom deliveries.
  • Light maintenance and/or housekeeping duties as required in the absence of an associate of that department.
  • Additional duties as required to expand your roles such as preparation of management reports, implementation of new policies, procedures and promotions, scheduling or payroll.

Requirements & Qualifications:


  • Shifts will be primarily either days and weekends or evenings and weekends, an open schedule will be required of the successful applicant.
  • Computer and typing skills with proficient knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of programs.
  • Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills, professional telephone manner and presentation.
  • Enrollment in or completion of a Hospitality Management course is preferred but not required.
