About the role

Canadian Blood Services is looking for a
Regular Full-Time Team Lead - Analyst - Systems III to join our dynamic
IT Internal Customer Experience team.


The
IT Internal Customer Experience team is responsible for ensuring a positive and seamless experience for internal users within Canadian Blood Services who interact with IT services and systems.


Formula for success

  • Drawing upon your skills in project management and team leadership, you will lead a team of analysts and developers to deliver BI solutions according to customer requirements.
  • Utilizing your proficiency in data management, you will ensure the accuracy, reliability, and quality of data collected and analyzed.
  • Employing your technical skills in source code management, you will manage and complete source code deployments in all environments (Dev, QA, and Production).
  • Utilizing your knowledge of BI content management, you will manage and monitor published BI content, usage, and access, to ensure consistency and privacy.
  • Tapping into your mentoring and coaching abilities, you will mentor and coach team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth.

Desired education and skills

  • Postsecondary level education in a relevant discipline from a recognized academic institution, preferably a College Diploma or University Degree.
  • Minimum 5 years demonstrated experience and skills in a Data Warehouse/Analytics environment with strong data modeling and SQL skills.
  • Minimum 3 years demonstrated experience and skills using Microsoft Power BI and Synapse.
  • Experience with Jenkins automation tool.
  • Experience with GitHub to maintain source code.
  • Knowledge or skills with Agile software development and DevOps methodologies.
  • Experience with one or more business or functional area such as supply chain management, finance, human resources is a strong asset.
  • Excellent analytical, oral, and written communications skills.

What you can expect

  • This role will work in a hybrid environment with requirements to be onsite at a Canadian Blood Services location 40% of the time/2 days of the week.
  • You will work Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week, 7.5 hours per day.
