About the role


As a Land Development Coordinator, you will start by participating in the acquisition of real estate properties, followed by managing them through the development process (rezoning/subdivision/permitting), and finally constructing all civil servicing infrastructure.

You will support the team with coordination of consultants and municipal authorities and will assist in the creation and monitoring of project schedules.

You may be assisting with permit package preparation or researching changes in bylaws and municipal policies. You will support all development administration including document management, control, and coordination. If this resonates with you, then this job is for you

What you'll be doing

  • Providing administrative support to the Development Team in all aspects of project management
  • Assisting with project feasibility and due diligence on new projects as required
  • Assisting in the preparation of project schedules as directed
  • Assisting in the coordination of legal and strata matters related to the development project
  • Coordinating all project insurance coverage, tracks all letters of credit, refundable deposits and fees paid for municipal permits
  • Undertaking market, product, and service research and data collection, as needed
  • Attending consultants' meetings, preparing minutes, and following up
  • Tracking and monitoring all required approvals to ensure timely processing and completion
  • Preparing a variety of internal and external reports and presentations, as required
  • Providing support to the development team with public engagement and community meetings
  • Assisting the development team with building and maintaining project schedules, tracking documents, and checklists
  • Assisting with daily management of consultants, contractors, and thirdparty vendors
  • Maintaining and organizing electronic project files
  • Being responsible for daytoday departmental administrative tasks, including processing expense claims and file maintenance

What we're looking for

  • Minimum Grade 12 Diploma is required
  • Undergraduate degree in Business Administration or Land Economics is an asset
  • 1+ years of relevant experience in Real Estaterelated projects
  • Working knowledge of real estate market, current market data and trends, projects, and land regulation policies
  • Project Management certification is an asset
  • Microsoft Office proficiency
  • Must be able to work with constantly changing priorities and to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Must have exceptional customer service and communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Must have demonstrated problem solving abilities
  • Selfmotivated, energetic, and enthusiastic in all aspects of real estate
  • Thrives on paying attention to detail in a fast paced, dynamic work environment
  • Team oriented, selfmotivated, and collaborative with proven results
  • Ability to multitask in a fastpaced environment
