VAC Developments is a growing Canadian Aerospace and Defense Manufacturing Company located in Oakville. We are currently looking to hire
Assistant Buyer to join our purchasing team. The Assistant Buyer is responsible for purchasing materials, subcontracting, supplies or equipment for a business.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assist Senior Buyer with supplier recovery schedules to meet organization's demand requirements.
Verifies raw materials and outside processors meet customer requirements. Issues Requests for Quotes to selected vendors with appropriate drawings.
Reviews quotes to determine which vendor has competitive prices and competitive lead items.
Obtains approval of purchase order prior to release of purchase order. Monitors vendor quality and on time delivery.
Maintains Approved Vendor List.
Schedule pickups and deliveries.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

Minimum 1 years' experience in a manufacturing procurement role buyer, procurement specialist, supply chain, etc. Purchasing certification preferred or a combination experience and education is acceptable.
Intermediate knowledge and experience using MS Office (Excel. Word).

Salary:
From $26.00 per hour
