Service/Repairs Roofer

Reports To:
Superintendent, Production Manager

Direct Reports:
Foreman

Job Overview:

The roofer constructs and maintains roofs using hand tools and other equipment. They ensure roofs are stable and waterproof. They also install insulation systems and vapor barriers.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Install or replace a variety of commercial roofing systems including SBS, BUR and TPO.
Install, repair, or replace singleply roofing system using waterproof sheet materials such as modified plastics, elastomeric or other asphaltic compositions.
Install, repair, or replace builtup roofing systems using materials such as asphalt saturated felts and hot asphalt and gravel.
Follow safety protocols.

Qualifications:

Commercial roofing experience considered an asset
Ability to learn and follow safety policy
Ability to work in all weather conditions
Ability to life heavy materials and tools
Ability to use powered hand tools
Ability to work at heights
Willingness to work out of town
An apprenticeship or journeyman ticket in roofing is a plus
Fall Arrest, Torch Safety, Fire Extinguisher, Standard First Aid or/and telehandler training/certification considered an asset.
