General Labourer - Kelowna, Canada - Fredex Construction Inc.

Fredex Construction is seeking a full-time Labourer who possesses the following attributes:

• Physically fit and skilled to fulfill our labourer role (i.e. hand digging soils, using hand tools, lifting and carrying materials, running power tools and compaction equipment)
• Punctual, good communicator and a supportive team player
• Fully respects, supports and conducts all daily work activities with a strong focus on Safety
• Detail oriented and accountable for work completed, including completion of supporting paperwork
• Able to work independently in achieving assigned tasks with mínimal supervision
• Previous civil construction experience (working around heavy equipment, variety of excavations, site restoration work, underground utility installations, demolitions, landscaping etc.)
• Flexible work schedule
• Applicant to provide copy of clean driver's abstract
• Must have dependable vehicle to drive to jobsites
• Additional certifications and training are an asset (First Aid, Ground Disturbance, CSTS, WHMIS, Fire Extinguisher Training, Fit Testing and other safety related training relevant to this role). Applicant to provide copies of current certifications
• Keen to develop skills from inhouse training and mentorship or external training opportunities with ambition to advance in the company
• Ability to drive and operate machinery, such as bobcats and excavator is an asset

We service a number of public and private clients throughout the Okanagan Valley and outlying areas.

You are required to have your own transportation to get you to and from our job sites and you will provide your own safety boots.

$22.00-$30.00 per hour
