Qualifications
Experience working on large vessels, cruise ships, or in a marine environment an asset.
Must be a Canadian citizen, Permanent resident, or valid work visa holder.
Minimum 5 years as a senior manager overseeing large-scale (preferably remote) hospitality services.
Bachelor's or master's degree in business, hospitality, tourism, or marine management
Professionalism, diplomacy and ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization.
Excellent ability to speak, write, and communicate in English.
Ability to analyze complex budgets and make training and operational decisions based on project needs.
Physical Requirements
Must be physically able to carry out the requirements of the job, including obtaining and holding a valid STCW certificate (training provided) and Marine Medical Certificate
Must be able to work remotely for a minimum of 20 days on board

About Working on a "Floatel
"
LandSea will be providing workforce catering and accommodation services for guests onboard the MV Isabelle, a 650-passenger "Floatel". The Floatel will be permanently docked in Squamish, B.C. and is estimated to operate for up to three years.
All crew members onboard the MV Isabelle must have the minimum marine safety certifications required by Transport Canada for the specific job.
Individuals who do not have the required marine safety certifications (see details below) will be required to attend a day marine safety program.
LandSea covers the costs of training, however, crew who do not complete minimum employment contracts are responsible to repay part of all the training costs.
The Hospitality Manager will reside on the vessel during shift rotations and typically work between hours a day. An average shift rotation is approximately 3 weeks on and one week off work. While working onboard, accommodation, full meals, WIFI and health/gym facilities are available 24/7.LandSea books your travel arrangements and provides a travel subsidy. About the Opportunity
The Hospitality Manager (Marine) plays a crucial role in supporting the overall operations of a LandSea marine vessel.
The Hospitality Manager is responsible for managing the budget, crew, and the performance of the accommodation and catering operations on the vessel.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Accommodations Services Manager, the responsibilities and essential job functions include, but are not limited to, the following:
Health and Safety
Acts as an advocate for all Health and Safety and Respectful Workplace policies and procedures
Provides support to Health and Safety personnel with incidents and investigations
Leads Respectful Workplace (HR) Investigations and procedures to ensure adherence with Provincial legislation and LandSea's Respectful Workplace Practices
Facilitates safety meetings (daily Tool-box meetings) as per schedule, ensuring staff are aware of safe work practices and policies and are adhering to standard health and safety practices
Documents Tool-Box meetings and discussions and provides regular reports to Head Office
Responsible for Catering health and safety requirements, including training, documentation, reporting to ensure HACCP and Food Safety standards are met
Client Relations
Maintain ongoing communication and working rapport with all LandSea customers/clients, ensuring the customer or client is satisfied with overall service, cleanliness, and maintenance of our facilities.
Fiscal/Financial
Oversees portioning of food items in accordance with contract and LandSea policies and best practices to ensure food costs and product inventory are within budget
Ensures meal sheets are completed accurately and client and Chef sign off
Submit client and third-party meal sheets weekly
Responsible for overseeing labour management, including assigned worker hours, time and attendance records
Responsible for overseeing the inventory management systems for catering and accommodation services
Provides financial and fiscal reports to Head Office as required
Technical/Operational
Ensure all paperwork is completed in a timely and accurate manner and submitted to the Operations Department as per the required timelines?
