- Responsible for the bi-weekly payroll cycle for ~100 employees
- Ensure compliance with payroll regulations
- Process new hires and terminations and corresponding paperwork
- Prepare RRSP contributions to provider
- On boarding employees to benefit plan
- Ensure payroll reporting is accurate and completed on time
- Prepare year-end reports and T4s
- Assist with year-end payroll filings and annual returns
- Accurate daily entry of vendor invoices – ensuring invoice validity
- Ensure invoices are coded to appropriate job for costing
- Processing bi-weekly payment runs via cheques, wire transfers and EFT's
- Responsible for maintaining vendor account information
- Review and reconcile vendor accounts and credit card statements
- 3+ years of related payroll and A/P experience
- Strong understanding of Payroll Legislation a must
- Payroll Diploma an asset
- Attention to detail a must
- Experience in a construction or manufacturing environment is an asset
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel
- Strong written and oral communication skills
