Reporting to the Laboratory Supervisor, as the
Quality Control Technician you will be responsible to maintain a high level of product quality through the testing of asphalt and its raw materials within laboratory and on-site settings.
Responsibilities:
- Testing of asphalt and raw materials.
- Deliver and administration of valueadded products.
- Maintaining daily records of all test data.
- Trouble shooting various customer inquiries
- Developing technical reports and analysis of asphalt quality.
- General asphalt laboratory duties.
- Perform Nuclear Densometer Testing on Asphaltic pavement, Earth (soils), and Granular materials.
- Sampling of asphalt and other construction materials on site.
- Sampling of pavement cores using standard coring equipment.
Experience & Educational Requirements:
- Civil Engineering Degree or Civil Engineering Technologist or Technician Diploma and minimum 2 years of experience within a similar role.
Working Conditions:
- Standard 50 hours per week, will be required to work overtime and night shifts based on operational requirements
- The employee will travel to/ from/ within jobsites
- Daily exposure to a laboratory and construction site environment
- Full G License required
