Job Description:
The role is responsible for creating content for our Knowledge base and other related materials. The Technical Writer will collaborate with key stakeholders, including Product Managers, to create engaging client-facing product-related content.
To succeed in this role, you must have a technical background and experience working in a dynamic software development environment.
- Write highquality knowledgerelated content for varying audiences and purposes
- Maintain continuity of style of content for all documentation based on predefined templates
- Manage and track content updates/revisions as needed
- Create engaging content using a variety of media (images, video, animation, charts, infographics)
- Analyze current content, processes, and tools and make improvements as necessary
- Maintain the Xplor Recreation knowledge base
- Maintain detailed databases and tracking records based on established department processes
Qualifications:
- Experience as a technical writer for a SaaS company preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Bachelor's degree in English, Business Communications, Journalism, or related discipline; equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products
- Experience with Camtasia, Salesforce (Knowledge), SnagIt, Jira, and Confluence.
- HTML knowledge is a plus.
- Attention to detail
- Strong knowledge of the structure and content of the English language, including the rules of composition and grammar.
- Healthy analytical and critical thinking skills
- Time management and organizational skills
- Experience with digital media formats preferred
