In this role, you will:
  • Assist with volunteer recruitment by implementing strategies, as well as participating in and following up on recruitment activities.
  • Lead and coordinate the work of volunteer teams supporting operations.
  • Produce and check reports, lists, response documents, analyses, and statistics.
  • Conduct the appropriate followups with volunteers, colleagues, suppliers, and partners in a timely manner.
  • Update and distribute emergency operations plans and provide logístical support.
  • Coordinate followups on service delivery methods and management of response supplies.
  • Support the smooth operation of the alert and mobilization system, including by assuming responsibility for its programming and the associated administrative followups.

What we are looking for:


  • A college diploma in recreation, ambulance, or police services, social sciences and humanities, or the equivalent.
  • French and English bilingualism (written and spoken).
  • Experience working in emergency management and response.
  • Experience leading a group, working in a volunteer setting (an asset).
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Strong writing skills.
  • The ability to work in a highstress environment.
  • Good problemsolving skills.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills.

Working conditions:


  • This position requires a valid driver's license.
  • This position is unionized.
  • They must be available for deployment to support local emergency operations.
  • They must be able to work during emergency operations in Canada.
  • If you are selected for this role, you will be required to complete a successful preemployment screening process which includes a satisfactory Enhanced Police Information Check (E-PIC).
