    Description
    Position Summary

    We are currently looking for a hard working and dedicated Cleaner to fill a Casual position at the Fort Nelson General Hospital.

    In accordance with established vision and values of the organization, this position performs a variety of housekeeping duties throughout the facility.

    Maintains clean and disinfected conditions in areas such as patient/resident/client rooms, Operating Rooms, Diagnostic Imaging and Laboratory, Labour and Delivery Rooms, washrooms, corridors, hallways, lounges, offices and common areas used by staff, visitors and patients/residents/clients as established in Northern Health Regional Housekeeping Policies and Processes.


    Fort Nelson General Hospital is an important health centre for the north. The hospital houses 25 Acute Care beds and 8 Long-term beds.

    • Lab and X-ray facilities
    • Community Counselling Services
    • Minor Surgery
    • Physiotherapy
    • Massage Therapy
    • Regular visitation from a pediatrician
    Fort Nelson is located in the northernmost reaches of the Rocky Mountains, has magnificent scenery and landscapes. The main industries are forestry, natural gas, transportation and tourism. The population is approximately 3,370. There are now three elementary schools and one secondary school. Fort Nelson is a charming and friendly community with genuine personality.     • Grade 10 or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

    • Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
