***: We currently have an opportunity for a results oriented individual to join our team as a Wastewater Treatment Operator, working on rotating shifts at our Dundas location. Reporting into the Environmental Supervisor responsible for working in the wastewater department. This is a contract ending March 2024.

SCHEDULE:
Rotating shifts Days-7AM to 3PM Afternoons-3PM to 11PM as well as Nights 11PM to 7AM

WE OFFER:

- $23.50 per hour plus overtime after 40 hours

POSITION TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Reporting to the Wastewater Supervisor, ensure the Dundas facility is in environmental regulatory compliance at all times.
Operate, monitor, maintain and troubleshoot onsite environmental control systems including the wastewater treatment plant (consisting of dissolved air filtration, activated sludge treatment, waste sludge separation / handling, tertiary treatment and other process unit operations).
Collect daily environmental samples. Assist with sample analysis and reporting of the monitoring data and ensure good record keeping.
Responsible for operating and troubleshooting air quality equipment
Operate a fork lift, other large equipment and chemicals systems in a safe manner.
Maintain safe and tidy working environment at all times.
Other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

University Degree or College Diploma in an environmental or related discipline.
Able to demonstrate a good understanding of wastewater treatment processes, environmental, equipment operation and maintenance, and environmental regulatory requirements / due diligence.
