The Opportunity

Responsibilities of the Role

  • Execute performance measurement activities (i.e. actual returns, benchmark returns, relative returns, attribution, portfolio exposures and characteristics, etc.) and related internal control procedures for the firm's investment portfolios.
  • Prepare analysis, compile reports, and develop presentations in support of team deliverables.
  • Collaborate with other work groups/departments to integrate and streamline performance measurement processes.
  • Oversee the maintenance of performance and attribution system and various data sources.
  • Respond to adhoc requests for performance measurement information from analysts, portfolio managers, sales and marketing and others as needed.
  • Prepare and maintain ongoing documentation efforts with regards to performance measurement concepts and methodologies and associated internal controls, processes and results.
  • Participate on team and cross organizational projects.

The Qualifications and Experiences Required

  • University degree in Business, Finance/Accounting, Economics, Computer Science, or Mathematics.
  • Proficiency in Excel is essential.
  • Proficiency ranging from intermediate to advanced in SQL and VBA.
  • Strong analytical and financial skills are required.
  • Familiarity with GIPS (Global Investment Performance Standards) is advantageous.
  • Basic understanding of investment products and best industry practices.
  • Working knowledge of Bloomberg and performance attribution systems such as Factset.
  • Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability to changing circumstances.
  • Excellent problemsolving, decisionmaking, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with other teams on crossfunctional initiatives.
