Landscape maintenance crew leaders are responsible for performing a variety of work tasks (usually physical in nature) in order to complete maintenance service obligations.

Maintenance crew leaders will be required to operate a variety of tools and equipment to carry out tasks as well as train and motivate crews to work efficiently and responsibly.

They will also be tasked with the care and upkeep of their equipment and vehicles.

Typical Tasks

a) Completion of scheduled maintenance tasks. b) Training of new crew members. c) Care and maintenance of equipment and vehicles. c) Effective communication with management.


Requirements:


Minimum Qualifications and Educational Requirements:

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
  • Class G Ontario drivers license in good standing
  • Experience and proficiency driving a landscape truck and full sized trialer

Work Conditions:
Work is primarily on residential properties in the Oakville/Burlington area, jobs are often near heavy equipment and other vehicles.
Work is outdoors in various conditions including heat and humidity, rain, dust, noise, and cold. Flexible working hours including occasional weekend work are preferred. We also offer work throughout the winter months as we also do snow clearing and salting.


Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Salary:
$27.00-$34.00 per hour

Landscaping Supervisors: 1 year (required)

  • Landscape maintenance: 2 years (required)

Language:


  • English (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

  • Class G Drivers Licence (required)
