Part-Time Academic: PSYO/NESC 2470 Systems Neuroscience - Halifax Regional Municipality, Canada - Dalhousie University
Description
Job Summary & Key Responsibilities The Part-Time Academic will be responsible for a 2000-level course, Systems Neuroscience (PSYO/NESC in the B Term (July 2–August 19) of Summer 2024. The class will be offered in a fully online, asynchronous format and the anticipated enrollment is 80 students. The responsibilities of the successful applicant will include online lecture creation, test preparation, online exam administration (including supplemental examinations), and responding to student emails in a timely manner. They must also be available for two hours per week for student consultation (online). This position reports to the Chair of the Department.
Qualifications/Requirements of Position
Applicants must have a graduate degree in Psychology or Neuroscience, or a related field, demonstrated teaching effectiveness, previous experience teaching the class material, and proficiency with delivery of course content using a learning management system. Experience teaching in an online environment (using Brightspace in particular) is an asset.
