Steel Detailing Assistant Project Manager

Responsibilities:


  • Be a voice in the strategic planning phase of upcoming projects
  • Assist the project manager in daytoday management of projects and staff to ensure quality, client standards and schedule requirements are met
  • Track and directly report project status updates to project manager
  • Help problemsolve issues and suggest ways to improve the project
  • Organize, file, and maintain all current project documents
  • Enter information into and manage the digital project databases
  • Help coordinate and manage the project from inception to completion
  • Coordinate with fabricators, engineers and architects to meet project requirements
  • Manage RFIs and Change Orders
  • Prepare drawing packages and issue to the client per scheduled delivery dates
  • Ensure project adheres to a set schedule and is meeting the goals of the client

Qualifications:


  • Any level of knowledge of Tekla Structures or detailing software.
  • Experience in structural and miscellaneous steel construction, fabrication, and the ability to read drawings
  • Selfmotivated and ability to complete multiple tasks with mínimal guidance
  • Deadline driven with an attention to detail
  • Organized and detailoriented

Requirements:


  • Diploma/certificate
  • Canadian Citizenship/Legally able to work in Canada
