Position Summary
The Coordinator, Education & Outreach coordinates and executes the

Eating Disorders:
Promotion, Prevention & Early Intervention (ED:PPEI) community outreach activities to coordinate professional development in order to raise awareness for ED:PPEI and food/weight preoccupation related issues through the engagement of key stakeholders


The primary responsibilities include:

planning, developing and implementing an engagement strategy to reach educators and youth service organizations; developing relevant materials for outreach; coordinating the hosting and delivery of workshops; coordinating and working closely with clinical workshop facilitators; assisting with the administering of outreach activities; performing cross-functional and/or other duties consistent with the job classification, as assigned or requested.


Duties:


  • Works with EDO to carry out engagement strategy to reach out to, and maintain active relationships with a large network of community organizations including public health, education, and other youth service organizations.
  • Builds relationships with diverse partners; listens to the needs and perspectives of others to help implement effective professional development programming.
  • Coordinates ondemand remote education workshops hosted by EDO to support various community organizations throughout the province
  • Confirms availability of workshop facilitators and assists facilitators in the preparation of workshop materials to reflect the community organization and location of the participants
  • Schedules workshops with presenters and participants; ensures video conferencing tools are in place to support the workshop and all related materials are prepared and distributed as needed
  • Coordinates EDO inperson conferences and education events; including booking event space, related equipment and assists in the coordination of necessary material to support the event
  • Supports EDO team in the development and booking of prescheduled events to reduce the need for ondemand training events
  • Coordinates and implements communication efforts related to the professional development workshops
  • Provides assistance with the planning and hosting of ongoing professional development workshops to professionals throughout the public sector.
  • Coordinates the collection of data from the professional development workshop activities, performs data entry activities, and provides summary analyses of data.
  • Performs crossfunctional and/or other duties consistent with the job classification, as assigned or requested.

Qualifications:


  • At minimum over 2 years (up to including 4 years) practical and related experience and/or 2 years onthe job training required.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office programs, including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc.
  • Proven ability to multitask and exercise initiative and good judgement.
  • Strong understanding of eating disorders, food & weight preoccupation and bodyimage and selfesteem issues.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Excellent organization and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced environment.
