Job description

As a Medical Lab Assistant, you will be responsible for:

  • Greeting and requesting required information from patients
  • Performing venipuncture
  • Performing Electrocardiogram (ECG) tracings
  • Explaining the specimen collection process
  • Ensuring patients have followed necessary test protocol prior to specimen collection
  • Completing data entry of patient's information
  • Performing special test collections such as, genetic or fertility test
  • Preparing specimens to be transported for testing
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to relate to patients and clients in stressful situations as well as demonstrating empathy
  • Desire to learn and pursue a career in the medical field
  • Ability to maintain patient's privacy and confidentiality at all times

Job Types:
Part-time, Permanent


COVID-19 considerations:
To keep our phlebotomist safe, we have installed plexiglass counter barriers. For the blood draw process, universal precautions and PPE protocols are in place.

Part-time hours: 20 per week


Salary:
From $16.56 per hour
